About Us
The Lilydale Football and Netball Club and Lilydale Junior Football Club are an Australian rules Football and Netball clubs located in Victoria in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne in the suburb of Lilydale.
It is one of the oldest Australian Rules Football clubs having been formed in 1872 and incorporated in 1984 and currently fields both senior, junior football teams and senior netball teams in the Eastern Football Netball League. Known as the "Falcons" the club wears a Royal Blue jumper with Gold sash.
The senior club currently fields seniors, reserves and U19 teams in Division 2 of the EFNL with the senior team making the grand final in Division 1 in 2018.
The junior club are looking to field 8 teams in 2024, from U8's upwards. We have a strong history, most recently having two U17 boys sides winning grand finals in 2018 in Divisions A and D, while our U14 girls won the clubs inaugural girls flag also in 2018.
In 2023 our first Over 50's Master team competed in the AFL Masters League with over 40 players being involved, finishing just outside the finals, missing only by percentage. We will welcome more players at all levels in 2024; along with encouraging an over 45's team to compete.
The senior club incorporated Netball into the club in 2016, and has been running strong for 8 years, securing 1 premiership and multiple finals appearances, including our Division 3 side finishing Runners-Up in 2023.
We have a broad range of young talent coming through the pathway from our junior program and are currently looking to build women's football in 2024. We welcome everyone who is keen to play!
Excited for all our seasons to kick off in 2024!
